The day-to-day operations of the Fire Department start with Administration.  The Fire Chief, Deputy Chiefs, Battalion Chiefs/Shift Commanders, Fire Marshal, and Administrative Assistant operate out of the Headquarters Station.  The Fire Chief oversees and approves all of the operations of the Fire Department, he is assisted by two Deputy Fire Chiefs who oversee operations and administration.  The Battalion Chiefs/Shift Commander is in charge of the daily shift operations for all seven of the fire stations located in the County, they are in charge of fire suppression operations, personnel and equipment.  The Fire Marshall conducts fire investigations, fire inspections and plan reviews of buildings in the County.  The Administrative Assistant schedules the fire safety education classes, reviews time sheets and prepares correspondence for the department.
